The main thing is to gain trust; this is the key to the IT market in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Concept of Digital Transformation of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024–2028, the country’s strategic goal is to create a resilient digital ecosystem that promotes inclusive development, builds reliable infrastructure, and fosters innovation. In this context, Kyrgyzstan’s IT sector has become one of the key drivers of economic growth, demonstrating a high level of openness to new solutions and technologies.

A competitive and dynamic market

In an interview with RBCVitaliy Pak, Business Development Director of Axoft in Kyrgyzstan and a member of the Digital Resilience Association (DRA), noted that the local IT market is highly competitive and requires companies to adopt a long-term approach to building business relationships:

“Kyrgyzstan is a market where it’s not enough just to sell — you need to build trust, develop competencies, and invest in long-term relationships. Those who do this consistently become leaders,”
Pak emphasized.

The high level of openness to innovation makes the Kyrgyz market attractive to both international and regional players.

However, sustainable success is possible only through a systematic approach, readiness to invest resources, and commitment to establishing a long-term strategic presence. According to Pak, many vendor solutions are already adapted for the CIS region, but some technologies — particularly those involving artificial intelligence such as voice bots, AI assistants, and contact center tools — still require localization.

In this regard, residents of the Kyrgyz High Technology Park are playing an increasingly important role, developing their own linguistic models and integration solutions. This creates new opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration between local and international companies.

Key challenges and paths for development

Among the main challenges for the industry are limited human resources and a shortage of skilled professionals. Unlike neighboring countries that actively attract foreign experts, Kyrgyzstan focuses on developing domestic potential.

“For sustainable growth, it’s essential to establish educational academies, develop technical competencies, and foster a culture of long-term partnerships. This approach will bring results over time,”
noted Vitaliy Pak.

The role of the Digital Resilience Association

The Digital Resilience Association (DRA) of the Kyrgyz Republic actively supports the goals of the Digital Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, adopted in July 2025, and contributes to the development of a secure and trusted digital environment in the country.

The Association unites banks, IT companies, educational institutions, and business associations to work together on:

  1. Strengthening cyber resilience;
  2. Sharing knowledge and best practices;
  3. Implementing digital security standards;
  4. Enhancing digital literacy across society.

Axoft, as a member of DRA, actively participates in initiatives aimed at raising cybersecurity awarenessdeveloping human capital, and supporting partnership programs.
